FONASA. Retired and pensioners

NEW INCORPORATIONS TO FONASA July, 1st 2012. Retired and pensioner Scheme Members. According to Law 18.731 since July 1st, 2012 retired and pensioner people which meet certain conditions will be part of National Integrated Health System (SNIS). BPS has sent to our institution a list with all these members. Incorporations: 1) Retired and Pensioners older than 74 years who earn a total amount which does not exceed 3 BPC (estimated in $ 7.251) and have private health coverage. 2) Retired and pensioners who don’t belong to group 1 and had private health coverage to December, 1st 2010. These people can accept or reject FONASA until June, 30th 2012. If you decide rejecting FONASA you must sign a sworn statement at FONASA Office in the British Hospital, otherwise, BPS will incorporate you to the system automatically. To accept FONASA incorporation you must sign at the same office. Important: In any of these cases the British Hospital Coverage will be affected (unless the member request resigning the service specifically)
